Strength Through Service

Making a Difference Beyond the Fire Station

The Pierce County Firefighters Benevolent Fund's commitment to serving our neighbors extends far beyond responding to emergency calls. We take immense pride in supporting programs and initiatives that make a real difference in our community.

Every year, we bring joy to local families through our Annual Holiday Gala, where we provide Christmas gifts to those in need. The gala features a community-supported auction that raises thousands of dollars for the Franklin Pierce Winterfest program and the Puyallup School District program, ensuring children and families have what they need during the holiday season.

During the summer, we proudly participate in the Fill the Boot campaign to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, helping advance research and provide resources for individuals living with muscular dystrophy.

Through our Coats for Kids initiative, we distribute warm winter coats to children in need across several local school districts, ensuring every child has protection from the cold.

We’re also honored to create unforgettable memories for children affected by cancer. Through our partnership with Camp Goodtimes, we help provide fishing experiences and cherished moments for campers during their summer sessions.

Beyond these signature programs, our benevolent fund offers support throughout the year to those facing unexpected challenges. Whether it’s helping one of our own members navigate a traumatic life event or stepping in to support firefighters and families across the nation, we’re here to lend a hand.

When we see a need in the community, we act. Recently, we’ve helped build wheelchair ramps, partnered with a local roofing company to repair a house, and provided food and clothing to families in crisis.
